60° Y piece merge jig for exhaust tube

A two-piece marking set for 60° Y piece merges on exhaust tube, used for 2-into-1 merges on headers and exhaust systems. One sleeve marks the tail, the single tube the merge feeds into. The other marks the two branches: use it once on each. Cut all three to the lines and the branches meet the tail cleanly, first time.

A Y piece cut by eye usually means several rounds of offering up, grinding and offering up again. It is also the joint where gaps and steps are most visible. Marking every piece from a matched pair takes the guesswork out.

Which version do I need?

This version is for OD tube from 1.5" to 4.5": mandrel exhaust tube sold by its outside diameter. For schedule 10 stainless pipe, choose the SCH10S version.

How it works

1. Slide the tail sleeve onto the end of the tail tube, hold it in place and scribe round its shaped end.
2. Do the same on each branch tube with the branch sleeve.
3. Cut just outside the lines, dress back to them, then offer the three pieces up and tack.
